mind™440 for children
In their day-to-day lives, children are exposed to a variety of listening environments. These range from noisy classrooms to the relative quiet of home, from the school playground to watching TV. mind™440 hearing aids adjust to these different situations to optimise sound quality.
Widex recommends three different mind models for children depending on factors like degree of hearing loss and individual preferences. All the recommended models are behind-the-ear hearing aids.
There are two reasons why these are in particular suitable for children:
|
A young child’s ear is continuously growing. As a result, the earmould of the hearing aid needs to be changed often to fit the child's ear canal. Compared to in-the-ear hearing aids, changing the earmould of a behind-the-ear hearing aid is easy and fast. |
|
It is possible to connect behind-the-ear hearing aids to an FM system, which helps the child in for example teaching situations. |
