Successful educational day for the children of Kelston School for the Deaf

Once again Widex NZ held a very successful educational day for the children of KelstonSchoolfor the Deaf. We invited them to the Widex factory to learn more about the hearing aids that they wear. How they work, how they are made, where they are made to name a few things. They sat intrigued and watched how ear moulds were made and then looked through the microscopes in the technical laboratory and were amazed at the millions of components inside a BTE. The highlight was definitely when the children were given the opportunity to take ear impressions on our model ear, followed by playing with the Dexi activities set up on the computer. In all, lots of fun was had by all. We look forward to hosting them again next year. – 24 November 2005
