I have worked in noisy environments my entire life from driving heavy machinery to being a fitter and turner in the engineering industry. My hearing loss was caused by my noisy work environment so ACC have covered the cost of my hearing aids for many years and I’m very grateful, but more so now that I have found the ‘perfect’ set of hearing aids.
My quality of life has improved so much since been fitted with them, instead of asking people I meet to repeat what they say; I have no difficulty understanding first time.
As a long-standing wearer of in-the-ear hearing aids, these tiny behind the ear aids are far superior and ‘that blocked up feeling’, has disappeared. They’re so comfortable and make your ears feel incredibly free, people just don’t notice them. There is no feedback when using the telephone and they have volume control for difficult hearing situations. It’s great that technology continues to improve like this!
