At work, I often couldn’t hear what the customer was saying. I would bluff my way through things, asking them to write things down when I just couldn’t hear. I would be in a car with a potential buyer, but often couldn’t hear what they wanted. I would pick up the phone and there would be no-one there – I blamed the phones for a long time.
When Paul was fitted with the latest Widex hearing aids, his life was turned around.
Since I have been wearing these hearing aids, no one has asked me if I have a hearing problem. I can’t remember the last time I couldn’t hear someone. I understand why some people are wary of hearing aids, but to anyone who is apprehensive about wearing a hearing aid, I tell them that they don’t know what they are missing out on. You just become so accustomed to putting them on each day – its like putting on shoes!
